Lesson One of Muggle Studies Professor Jensen Evans walked through the right door that led from her apartment and into the Muggle Studies classroom and locked the door behind her. She was dressed in a long grey pencil skirt that reached past her knees and a white ruffled top. She wore her favourite rose black heals with the little ruffled bow on top. She secertly hoped that they brought her good luck, she doesn't believe in luck, but for this one occasion, maybe she could. She wore her brunette hair up in a french twist and hoped that she looked like she was friendly but at the same time, meant business. She looked down at her owl wristwatch, a present from her silly Papa, but she loved it dearly. It was silver and in the face of the watch was a small picture of a snowy owl. It was a reminder for her to always keep in touch with her family back home and let them know that she and her younger twin sisters were doing alright. Jensen realized that she had about ten minutes until class began, which gave her time to get last minute details in order. Jensen walked eagerly to her desk and picked up her pale pink piece of chalk and went to the huge black board that rested behind her desk.
She wrote, "Welcome to Muggle Studies! Lesson one will be on Muggle Inventions versus Wizard Inventions, what was really made by whom," in a pretty cursive handwriting. Jensen stepped back and put the chalk back down on her desk. She reviewed her handy work and was satisfied, she glanced down at her desk and picked up her Muggle Studies text book. She hadn't assigned her class that book yet because she didn't have a full class and she could just have the class copy what she wrote from the board for them to study for the quizzes and such. Jensen smiled as she looked at the glossy textbook and she put it down, she guessed that she was running out of time and she moved from her desk to the main door that lead out into the main hallway.
Jensen peeked out the door's window into the hallway to see if any students were heading her way yet. Jensen was so excited that she had to take deep breaths to calm herself, she wanted to be calm, cool and collected for when her students arrived. Jensen didn't see anyone coming yet, but opened the door anyway. She walked back to her desk and pulled out a couple of sheets of parchments that were labeled "Welcome to Muggle Studies, first years. What you need to know!
It was just mandatory papers that let the students know what they would be learning while in this class this term and the rules and regulations. Jensen grabbed about five of them and headed back towards the main door and waited for a student to arrive. When a student walks in, Jensen would happily greet him or her and hand them the sheet of parchment and ask them nicely to take a seat by the front. There's no sense for anyone to sit in the back, Jensen has already glanced at the roster and not many students have signed up for the class. Jensen stood there waiting patiently and smiling while making fleeting glances every few seconds to out in the hall, looking for a student. Finally, just when Jensen was about to head back to her desk and wait there, a student headed toward her classroom. Jensen stood there like an idiot and just stared, she couldn't believe that finally a student had arrived, she glanced back down at her watch and sure enough the student had about two minutes to spare until Jensen would have close the door and called the class over with. Jensen specifically said that Muggle Studies class would begin at 1 p.m. for every lesson. And this student was two minutes early, really cutting it close. Jensen looked at the student, thrusting the sheet of parchment at the student and smiled. Snapping out of the state of shock, Jensen finally managed to speak, "Hello! Welcome to Muggle Studies class! I am Professor Evans, please take a seat near the front!"
Attire: ♥THE LESSON CLOSES AT 12 A.M. EST, JULY 17. (Meaning it is still open & the lesson is going on, but if any student has not entered and was supposed to, will be counted tardy). First person to reply gets 10 housepoints. Second gets five. And the last person to reply that is signed up for this class will get -5 housepoints taken from their house. Sylvia couldn't believe that she had to do stupid muggle studies. It was one subject that she personally hated, but as her grandmother said, the more you knew the more prepared she would be. She knew some people thought the muggles were amazing, surviving without the use of magic. Sylvia thought them fools who were blind to the truth that surrounded them. They seemed so proud when they achieved something so dull, like being able to travel from London to Paris in just under three hours. They were proud of their ever expanding knowledge and inventions, however they always failed to see the truth behind everything. She sighed slightly as she stuffed her books in her bags before slipping out of the Nocen Dorm, heading to the second floor from the dungeons. As she approached the class room she flicked her long blond hair back as it morphed and weaved itself into a french braid, keeping it from her face and in check.
She stepped into the classroom a few minutes before it was meant to start and to her suprise she was the first student there. She pulled a face of distain, she hated being first, she didnt want to seem over keen, especially for a class she hated. She looked the the teacher who was starting at her. If it wasnt for the fact she had Veela blood in her veins Syvlia might have taken offence at the black stare, however she was used to people gawping and staring. She looked to the parchment being thrust in her direction and she took it, reading the title. Ugh great, not only was this the most boring lesson ever, but they would be having a lesson going over what they are going to be doing? Even more pointless. She looked back up to the teacher and pulled off one of her 'I'm really a nice person honest!' smiles. 'Good Afternoon Professor Evans.' She moved passed her and sat in the front row in the middle. A smile crossed her lips, knowing that sitting there would cause at least a few of the students to pay less attention to the class and more on her.
It wasnt that Sylvia was vain, far from it. She simply liked stirring up trouble whilst seeming to be blissfully unaware. She opened her bags and took out her books, laying them on the table along with her quill and parchment. Her wand, as always was hidden in her pocket within easy reach. She never let her wand get far from her, it was the only remenant of her mother she had, the single hair that formed its core. She sat up straight and looked back up to the professor giving a sweet almost child like smile before looking down to her desk. As she waited for the others to arrive she started to read the parchment she had been handed, she only hoped the lesson would pass quickly and she could go to one of her more interesting classes. Her fingers reached up and twisted into her hair thoughtfully as she read, the picture of innocence, but she was certainly far from that.

Jensen smiled at her first student and looked down at her wrist watch, it had been ten minutes since she had arrived. The other students were late and will have five points taken from each of their houses. Jensen wasn't joking when she had said that there would be a consequence for being late. Jensen sighed, left the door open, and strode to the front of the class. Glancing down at the roster on her desk, Jensen decided that her first student must be Slyvia Valence. Jensen looked back at the girl, "Congratulations, you were the only one who actually managed to show up one time." Jensen stated. "Ten housepoints will be awarded to you."
Jensen walked around her desk and stood behind it, grabbing her Muggle Studies book and flipping through to the right passage on which she would first talk about in lesson one. She hadn't asked the students to buy any books yet, mainly because the shopowner was away and also the class was limited to only three students so far. "Do you know anything about muggles?" Jensen asked without looking up from her book. Her long brown hair, secured safely in a french twist, had several small curly strands of hair sneeking out of the clip, framing Jensen's face. Jensen walked to the board and picked up the pink chalk, ready to write if need be. "Also, can you name any muggle inventions?" Jensen asked, finally tearing her eyes away from the much read textbook.
