Time took a little detour when he was suppose to come to Wexford for his new job. A project in India had him traveling for hours and then a week to finish the landscape of a wealthy pureblood family. But he worked easily with his sketch plans and help-on-hand, making sure that everything went according to plan. Jonathan left around noon on his way back home. It may have been a short-fast trip to the shores of Scotland with his home overlooking the cliffs, but luckily his bags were packed and ready for another trip, one more permanent. Jonathan looked around his humble abode, now only a vacation home instead of a real home. He could lease it for rent, but the thought of other people living there didn't sound good to him. But he would visit monthly for a getaway and also to tidy the place up. One day it would serve as a good home, a family home aside from his job that would need him there everyday.
He only arrived a few minutes ago on the grounds of Wexford Academy, holding onto the key his sister sent for the Groundkeeper's Hut. This would be his new home for now, but it won't every replace the one back in Scotland. Jonathan strode up to the door, unlocking it and entering. With a flick of his wand the candles were lit with flames to provide a soft-glow light. An hour passed when he finally cleaned the place of dust, rearranging the furniture, and then unpacking. It may be small but the place providing some warm comfort. Now even though it was late at night and the school must be sound asleep, Jonathan suffered from jet lag and time difference because of his many projects around the world. Night could be day to him and once he's used to the time here, maybe he could sleep on the same schedule as everyone. Until then he went out into the night air, breathing in the familiarity of it all as the memories of his school life flooding back into his life.
The school didn't change a bit from what he remembered and the landscape still looked beautiful and attended to. Their last groundskeeper must have done all this before his arrival and he thanked God he didn't have to start bright and early the next day with a large list to do. Walking slowly on the school grounds toward the Quidditch Pitch, he could see the three high rings of the nearest side he approached. A smile grew across his unshaven face, relishing in all the memories of his team and the glory of winning games against the other houses. He was mostly glad to be back on these grounds.

Post by JAMES ALASTAIR BLACK on Jun 24, 2010 0:01:38 GMT -5
His hands ran through his hair as he looked down at the work in front of him. For the past half hour he had been staring at the tack of papers and nothing had been accomplished. The young headmaster had been doing work for the school all day and barely took two seconds to take a break besides the normal eat and piss routine. His animals had been with Amanda all day since they had began to her. How on earth they liked her he had no idea? It wasn’t like she was cute or cuddly or anything of the sort! He wondered when they were going to come back to him. At least they weren’t in his way or making all types of noises to keep him from his work. The only person keeping him from his duty was himself. James rolled back his chair and stretched out his legs and his arms trying to pop the joints so that he could loosen up and relax. I don’t know whom I’m playing, but this isn’t going to get done tonight. Often the Black had times of insomnia and would go around for a stroll when he lived back home in London with his family. Now that he was at Wexford he walked around the inside of the school or walked out on the grounds until he was tired.
Getting out of his chair he went over to his closet to get out his walking shoes. Tonight he would go out on the grounds since he didn’t feel like he was going to go to bed anytime soon. He would take his dogs with him, but he knew they would be loud and they were fine where they were. James was quite happy because they had received another professor, a centaur named Trevenlyan who took the job as Care of Magical Creatures and Head of House for Agrestis. The humorous part to James was that the Agrestis emblem was of a centaur. Also there was a new student who had been sorted into the house of Maior. Erik Fenthorpe, the new Maior, had sent him an owl earlier requesting to have some type of talk of some sort later on. James had no problem with it so he agreed to have a talk with the student later on in the day since it was already early in the morning. With his shoes on he walked outside of his office and bedroom and into the hallway. Taking a deep breath he began walking in solitude down the hallway and toward the staircase. Outside would give him a breathe of fresh air and familiar atmosphere of when he was a student at Wexford. Days back at the school were much easier than now, but he wouldn’t change a thing about it. The only thing he hadn’t liked about school were all the classes he had to take. His parents made him take every class there was at Wexford and wouldn’t let him drop a class for nothing in the world. Well that was until he had been made Captain of the Ignis Quidditch team his sixth year at school.
James Black put his hands into his jean pockets as he walked down the stairs as quietly as he could. I wonder if I would be allowed to go to London to see about seeing a doctor about this. Being up all night and barely sleeping is starting to take its toll on me. Earlier Amanda had hit him in the head with a folder because she caught him sleeping. It wasn’t his fault he had been falling asleep while working. Well it was, but still. Could she blame him? He could remember quite a few times when he had seen her cover her mouth to hide a yawn. One day he would call her out and see how it feels. There was a bump on the back of his head where he had fallen in the observatory the other night. Amanda had checked out his head and everything seemed to be fine. He had made fun of her being all-caring for two seconds and he regretted opening his big mouth. As soon as he mentioned something she got all snappy and uptight again. Either there was a very sharp stick shoved up her arse or she just needed a male friend to help her through the night or something. Whatever it was it needed to be fixed fast because she was starting to get under his skin and cut all his nerves out in his body.
Outside he took in a deep breath and felt the inviting air against his flesh. Caileigh, his sister was exposed to come within a day or two from what she had sent to him earlier today. He missed his younger sister very much because he felt she was the only person he could actually talk to in the world. The only person that would actually sit down and listen to him for the five seconds he actually wanted to talk. She even gave him responses back when he needed advice on something. He could have needed her help when he had been with Alexis, but he didn’t want to talk about her to anyone since they had broken up. Brown eyes looked up and he found himself outside the Quidditch Pitch. Home away from home away from home, he thought to himself as he walked inside the pitch to see if it was still the same as he had remembered. He had played many games in this field and shed a lot of blood as a matter of fact. Once he had broken his nose here and a rib. Another time his shoulder became dislocated. Quidditch was a very, very brutal sport and that’s why he loved it. There were risks and you had to be able to take them. It was almost like a test of survival of the fittest. Apparently he had lost being the fittest over a year ago. James noticed a familiar figure walking around in the Pitch and it took him a second to realize who it was. He began running after the figure that he thought was Jonathan Lupin, his old friend. Getting toward Jonathan he tackled him to the ground and pinned him. “Isn’t it way past your bedtime, Jonathan?,” he laughed letting the ex-Ignis student go.
