Name: Nathaniel Alexandre Vex Von-Duvallon Occupant: (Defence Against Dark Arts Professor) History:
Come closer and approach the sight where his scales become brighter and brighter as you near them. Sunlight bathing them to make them glitter like gold, but do not touch them, unless you want to get burnt.
On a cold night in the streets of Berlin, the curfew had been set upon every single corner from the city. Inhabitants were found sleeping in their beds while the silent evening announced the dangers of such calmness. It was yet the domain of the military forces over the people before it could soothe a bit. In a November 29th in 1984, snow began to fall lightly on the outside, and it was visible from every single window for the people who were close to it. Viktor Von-Duvallon, who was married to Lisette Von-Harten, waited patiently on the deck of his mansion in one of the endless niches of Berlin. His wife had nine months of pregnancy and was about to give birth to a son. That boy would be Nathaniel, a blonde haired fellow with goals yet to be accomplished. When his mother moaned as hard as his vocal chords permitted it, she passed away with her last breath just after watching his son born in front of her, tended by the servants while she could do nothing but smile at her first and last son. She had been sick from tuberculosis for weeks, and she couldn’t cure herself without compromising her son. It had been a difficult decision; it was her life or his life, and for some reason, she decided to sacrifice for him, since this had been the primal, and it was uncertain it would be another. The excuse she had lived enough for being happy and ready for parting just convinced her to do so. Leaving a perfectly born child Lisette deceased on November 30th, abandoning her family just a couple of weeks for Christmas Eve, and nothing else but the void of her absence.
After such loss, his father couldn’t bear living by himself so he moved to England along with his son, and Vex seemed to be an extremely gifted kid ever since he was briefly introduced to magic. He was lent the ancient wand of his grandfather to get started with it. Viktor married again to Valentine Giuseppe and with it, Vex earned two step-siblings. Impossible to keep up with the sham it was to be surrounded by such luxury, he made up his mind and moved to Scotland with his aunt Melody, although she wasn’t his aunt really, but a cousin from his mother that was very close to her and had demonstrated to be part of the family by having special care for Nathaniel since he was really young. Melody was a widow, and just like his father, she had lost someone she loved. Little by little, the visits from his progenitor halted, along with the letters and the attention he had had for him. In a matter of years, the child was forgone by his own father who gained appreciation for his step-children. Since he moved with his aunt, she encouraged him to read and to fill himself with the knowledge, just as much as he was pushed to learn more about magic and to dominate it in no time. Past a few years, he was a keen ten year old about to turn to eleven when he received his acceptance letter from Westford Academy. The elation was indescribable since he wasn’t aware of such an enormous magical place.
The wonders of magic presented all at once before him. He attended Westford Academy to become an extraordinary skilled wizard. Thanks to his aunt, he was already aware of many of the spells imparted during the classes, along with many others subjects that seemed to bore him to dead. Due that, the student began to show a reckless behaviour and to surpass the limits and transgressing the rules, turning out to be a rebel youth, skipping classes, and finding himself in constant trouble. This followed until Second Year, where he was called by the Headmaster and his aunt for having a serious talk about it; in the conversation plenty matters were discussed and cleared out, collocating him two years ahead thanks to his knowledge and his abilities for magic. In an agreement, instead of coursing Third Year, he was moved to Fifth Year, and there was a specific class which caught his thorough attention, causing a special interest on it. Transfiguration was part of the most astounding matter for him, since it was unbelievable to be able to transform into an animal just by wishing it. Once the whole thing about being irresponsible and careless about his studies had ended, he began to fall for the lessons and get more and more absorbed by them, joining himself to the special courses in which they’re bound to learn about animagus in a deep sense and even to convert into an animal. Partially, he succeeded on it, showing some scales instead of fur, thus people deemed it odd and even he was told to be wrong at the execution of the technique.
Something no one knew about him or his family was that they were dragon trainers. His aunt was a very talented one, and she kept dragons close to her, so they had one in Scotland, and since they lived up by the hills, it was kept safe inside a cave, and whenever it felt the need, the dragon made its way downwards to the lake for a wide space in the green plains or just soared across the air. Vex loved to feel the rush of the flight when it flew closer to ground and the wind stream just shrivelled to the ground. He had accepted dragons and became part of them. He was taken to the places where they were hidden with his aunt, and explored the risky nooks of the earth just to get closer to them. It was such an incredible experience, and it was just to belong to him and his aunt. She had made him swear never to reveal her job, so he wasn’t allowed to mull about it either. Thankful for all the things he had done for him, inclusively taking care of him and raise him, he couldn’t refuse to follow as she commanded, so not a word would ever escape from his lips as long as he lived. According to the Ministry of Magic, she didn’t have the capacity to tame dragons and even was considered clumsy for that matter, ergo, he had been forbidden to ever stay meters away from a dragon. She worked clandestinely so it was essential for him to not unveil such information had been conferred to him.
In order to remain in secrecy, he started to gain control upon his animagi abilities and mutated just certain parts of his body, just like the legs, and the chest. Recognizing the peril it represented for them, he couldn’t transform into the entire creature, since he was plenty aware of what it was. For unknown reasons, he was the first animagus to be known to be able to turn into a dragon. For the characteristics he displayed, he was a Hungarian horntail, except he showed many differences to the normal animal. Soon he was discovered on Sixth Grade, when his tail erupted from his back with such an astonishing amount of spikes. School decided to not let Ministry intervened with it, so he was just treated as an absolute secret and was taught to transform completely into the beast. He wasn’t as big as a real dragon, along with the dark splotches on his back, the golden tinges in his frame and the shape of the wings, which seemed more aerodynamic and perfect for flying. Vex became an expert in dragons as soon as he reached Seventh Year, despite of not having the age for graduating. For such an outrageous capacity to turn into a dragon that was inexorably amazing, the school pact a contract with an Academy somewhere in Hungry to give him the opportunity of continuing with his education without receiving a certificate from Hogwarts just by then.
He was welcomed in Draconifors, an Academy specialized in Dragon’s Training and care, along with Dark Arts. He’d obtain a master degree in Dragon’s Training, besides of being educated in the Dark Arts. He was reluctant to abandon dragons for learning about dark creatures and hexes, curses and unforgivable spells. Impossible to conceive a better future without the need of waiting for those two years so he could reach the proper age, he accepted the challenge and ventured himself to Hungry, finding a refuge within the very facilities, since they offered dorms for the foreigners. Vex spent four years there before acquiring his certificate and finished with his studies. He still practiced his skills as animagus, since The Ministry found out about him and he would be reserved for any occasion in which he was needed. He had been offered a tremendously high and privileged position already, but he was obliged to reject it and study for three more years to get a PhD. Along with the teachings in Dragons, those magnificent creatures and everything related to them, he involved the Dark Arts. So young for having such level of education he wasn’t taken serious, thanks to the Ministry intervention. However, he agreed to occupy the position they had offered to him, just as long as they permitted him to teach in the school that had formed him throughout his studying years, applying for the DADA position while they were sorting things out. Until he was done teaching, he’d accede.
Why Would You Be Good at this Position?: I own a PhD on Dragons and Dark Arts. I would apply for DA, but I’m not fond of teaching smoky subjects but substantial knowledge that could be applied for life and helpful for any difficulty. I personally believe that Defence Against Dark Arts is an extremely important matter that has to be imparted with the proper information and not be left to anyone asking for the position. Since I’m not a no one, as my resume demonstrates it quite plainly, I can assure you I won’t represent any problem as I’ll only dedicate myself to the teaching, and I’ll do my best to instil those principles to my students, and make them appreciate the values of being able to confront evil with a certain and efficient approach, not only words, but the proper manoeuvre for every kind of situation and the possible ways to solve it. I know I’m young for my abnormal slate, but you won’t regret it.

Name: Jennifer Artemis Black Occupant: Black's Bar owner and bartender History: Jennifer Artemis Black was born on July 25th in 1992 to her parents Avery and Julia Black in London, England. She was introduced to the world as the little sister of then already six years old James Alastair Black. The name 'Jennifer' was selected from Julia's mother, Jennifer McGregor, with 'Alastair' in James' name being selected from Julia's father. The name 'Artemis' was selected from Avery's mother, Artemis Black, the grandmother that neither of the Black children would ever really know. As a baby, Jennifer looked a lot like James had. Between six and twelve months old, her precious baby blonde curls darkened and went red, unlike James' dark hair, something she got from their mother. She inherited a pair of crystalline green eyes from her father. Luckily for Jennifer, she was brought up in London, England in a high-upper class home, but that was balanced out with the family's down-to-earth opinion about Muggles being just as important as the Wizards of the world.
Raised as James' little sister, she quickly found herself getting very attached to her big brother and the things he did, taking up an interest in Quidditch from a very early age. This did, however, start as her putting a few of her brother's precious Quidditch figures in her mouth as a very small child before she really got a proper appreciation for them and the sport that they represented. Growing up felt very easy for Jennifer as a member of the Black family. She certainly had the best of various worlds handed to her from day one: she had a big brother who was protective over her, but not over protective to not allow her to play Quidditch with him; parents who saw that education was in their children's best interest, so she learnt a lot even before she went to Wexford Academy; being part of a family with one hell of a back story, so she was never short of bed time tales; and there was, of course, various other things that made her lucky to be a Black.
When James went to school without her, Jennifer did have a little trouble adjusting to not having him around to play with, having to preoccupy herself where she could and somewhat filling James' place beside their father when he was playing Quidditch with her or furthering her current education by taking her along to the Ministry of Magic with him on the odd occasion. She was certainly very lucky when she was finally sent to Wexford: she was sorted into Ignis, her brother's house and James was already on the Quidditch team, being the captain no less, even though she didn't need that to convince the other team players that she should be on the team. Due to the practice of balancing work and Quidditch at home, she found it easy to do at school, achieving the best she knew she could in all of the classes she was in. James graduated, leaving her once again at the end of her second year. Entering her sixth year, she was made Quidditch captain, just like James had.
During the international Quidditch season throughout her seventh year, her brother was involved in an accident that rendered him unable to play professional Quidditch anymore. This accident was enough to get Avery and Julia to get on Jennifer's case about still being in the Quidditch team. She wasn't going to argue with them, but, then again, she wasn't going to stop playing Quidditch, even witnessing her brother's accident wasn't enough to put her off. She knew full well that Quidditch was a dangerous sport, it just so happened James was stuck in a game with others that liked to play dirty. She spent the rest of her seventh year keeping her Quidditch achievements on the down low. Graduating from Wexford Academy, with a glowing record of marks and commendations for her work with the Quidditch team, Jennifer was adamant about going professional. She could never have imagined that her family would have had something completely different in mind...
Why Would You Be Good at this Position?: I'm the heiress to the bar as it is, being passed over to me from my grandfather's various business ventures when I recently turned eighteen years old, so I surely have every right to take over the business and continue the family's name and reputation with it. My father and mother, more especially so, seem to think that it's a positive way to keep me busy through day to day life and distract me from the fact that they're not allowing me to get on with my own plans and play Quidditch professionally like I always wanted to. I understands how things work in the bar and it willing to give it a shot to honour my grandfather's wishes, despite my dislike of the idea of being stuck doing bar work when I could be playing Quidditch and being more financially independent. I was Ignis team captain in my sixth and seventh years of school at Wexford Academy, so I can deal with being in charge of various situations and taking responsibility for myself and other people.
